Dear Monsoon, please make your presence felt soon! All of us are waiting for you to step into our living zones and flood our lives yet again with your wet yet joyous presence.
The spell of dryness and heat beckons you to end its rule and announce your arrival with full splash!
There are many things we miss till the monsoon arrives with full thunder and steals the thunder of overworked air conditioners quite effortlessly. Let me list a few of them here.
1.Beats the heat, saves the planet.
Monsoon arrives and bids farewell to the sweltering heat of the summer sun. The sun parched fields welcome the rains. The temperatures plummet and create an atmosphere of collective relief.
While everyone heaves a sigh of relief, mother earth is saved from further global warming due to incessant use of electrical instruments like ACs and coolers.
2.Rainy day is welcome any day.
We miss the nonstop rains that flood the roads. Kids love the inadvertent holiday due to perpetual pouring of manna from heaven. They get to sail their colorful paper boats and get drenched in the rains.
Employees call in late and enjoy the rainy mood. The nature celebrates with creating an air of romance in the ambiance.
3.Be puddle happy.
There is no greater joy on earth than to get drenched in the monsoon showers and jumping into the puddles. Splashing rains bring out the kid in every grown up soul.
Sigh! It cannot become a reality till the showers happen. We surely miss this joy till monsoon comes knocking at our doorstep. Until then we have to find solace in the bath tubs and manmade jacuzzis and showers to get soaked.
4.Mud soaked matches.
Though monsoon may keep most people trapped indoors, there is an athletic variety of men that looks forward to playing in the heavenly showers.
To play a rugged football match in the rain is another USP of monsoons! Kicking the ball and rolling in the slush gets the adrenaline pumping full swing for the brave hearts. Now beat that!
5.The ‘yummilicious’ snacks.
No rains are complete without savoring yummy Indian snacks. The onion and cheese pakoras team up with piping hot tea to make an irresistible combination for anyone that loves food.
Monsoons create a perfect backdrop for relishing many mouth watering snacks. Hot jalebis, malpuas, chaat, vada pao, samosas and many others complete the picture when it is raining outside and you have nowhere to go. It is a heaven for all the foodies!
When it is pouring like cats and dogs outside, you have no choice but to stay at home. You can actually meet and greet your family members at breakfast, lunch and dinner often than you usually get a chance to do on dry days.
Well, it sure gives you family bonding time while watching your favourite flicks or playing board games together.
Pray hard and thank Almighty when the first shower of monsoon arrives and fills your life with its ethereal solace!
