The UP Investor’s Summit, 2018 commencing in Lucknow is a step taken by the government to bring global investors in Uttar Pradesh and redefine the face of U.P. This Investor’s Summit has come up with certain hopeful announcements that can actually uplift the state economically. The two-day Investor’s Summit has begun with one grand announcement by Reliance group. The Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mr. Mukesh Ambani said that Jio will create over one lakh job opportunities in the next three years in the state.
“Jio has invested Rs. 20,000 crore already in the state, and plans to invest another Rs. 10,000 crore over the next three years. We aim to bring Jio to every village in the state by the end of this year,” Mukesh Ambani said at the Uttar Pradesh Investors’ Summit.
Furthermore, the top businessman stated that over two crore Jio phones will be sanctioned and one lakh new jobs would be created in Uttar Pradesh, which he said, was India’s “most popular state.”
“If UP gets up and running, nobody can stop India from being a global superpower. It is a key investment area for us, and hence, we would like to support development at every level,” he said.
The Reliance group chairman also said that the Reliance group will support the ‘Namami Gange’ project of UP in every possible way.
Meanwhile, Adani Group Chairman, Mr. Gautam Adani made some major announcements. “The Adani group will build six lakh tons of storage capacity in the state along with investment in the multi-model logistics parks. Also, Adani group will be coming up with 1,000 MW of solar project and a solar park of 5,000 MW capacity. The Adani group will be investing Rs 35,000 crores in the state in the next five years along with setting up a world class multi-disciplinary university,” he said.
Ambani and Adani were among the other major Investors invited to the summit for the development of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from all this the Chairman of Tata Sons, Mr. N Chandrashekhran said, “Tata Consultancy Services will continue its services at Lucknow center and will further strengthen its position in the state. We will work in sync with the government to ensure overall development of the state. Tata Motors is also here and we are committed to taking part in all the measures taken for the development of the state.”
